Learn Japanese with Logia Devil Fruits

There are over 200 Devil Fruits in One Piece series, all of which have Japanese names! What an easy and efficient way to up you Japanese vocabularies by watching anime and learning about Devil Fruit user powers!

Let’s look at Logia users today. As you will see, many of the fruits’ names simply refer to the user’s powers, like Snow Snow fruit (ユキユキの実), with ゆき meaning snow, this is pretty straightforward.

However, there are a few on this list that represent onomatopoeias which is “a word that phonetically imitates, resembles, or suggests the sound that it describes” according to Wikipedia. Onomatopoeias are very popular in the Japanese language and are great to know.
